Cabin crew assessment day preparation
In a group of 10-12 applicants, complete two timed group tasks, practise a passenger conversation in pairs and take a short competency-interview turn. The trainer gives spoken feedback throughout the day.

What happens in the workshop?
The trainer gives you a scenario and a time limit. You solve it with the group, explain your choice and discuss which behaviours helped or held the group back. Then you practise with a different scenario. This is live rehearsal, not a video course or an airline test.
Two group tasks
First, agree how to prioritise competing passenger needs. Later, deal with a service disruption when the group does not have all the information. The debrief covers how you contribute, listen and reach a decision together.
Passenger conversation
In pairs, practise responding to an upset passenger. Acknowledge the concern, explain what you can do and know when to ask for help. This is communication practice, not safety-procedure training.
Short interview turn
Each participant answers a question about a real teamwork or customer-care example and one follow-up. The trainer comments on the clarity and detail of the answer.
The day, hour by hour
Times are in UTC. You spend most of the day speaking, deciding or practising; the briefing and debriefs are short. The schedule includes two short breaks and lunch.
Introductions and group task one
Meet the group, then work against a clock to agree on priorities.
- 07:30-08:00: Teams check, format and what the trainer observes
- 08:00-08:45: 60-second introductions with a second attempt
- 08:45-09:30: passenger-priority group task and debrief
- 09:30-09:45: questions and short break
Disruption and passenger conversation
Decide as a group with incomplete information, then practise a customer conversation in pairs.
- 09:45-10:45: timed service-disruption group task
- 10:45-11:15: trainer debrief on contributions and decisions
- 11:15-12:15: paired passenger role play and debrief
- 12:15-12:55: lunch break
Competency interview and next steps
Use a real example from your own experience, answer a follow-up and hear what needs sharpening.
- 12:55-13:25: build a clear teamwork or service example
- 13:25-14:45: one short mock-interview turn per person
- 14:45-14:55: short break
- 14:55-15:30: individual verbal feedback and questions
Before the workshop, think of two examples from work, education or volunteering. You need a computer with Microsoft Teams, a camera, a microphone and a quiet place to speak.

What the trainer comments on
The feedback is spoken and tied to things you did during the exercises. It is not an airline score or a prediction of your hiring outcome.
In the group
Was your point clear? Did you build on someone else’s idea? Did the group reach a decision within the time?
With a passenger
Did you listen, respond within your role and explain when you would ask for support?
In the interview
Did your example show what you personally did, and could you answer the follow-up without a memorised script?
One workshop cannot copy every airline’s selection day
Recruitment formats differ. Emirates describes group activities, an online test and a final interview; easyJet describes a group exercise and a competency-based interview. We practise the interactive parts using our own scenarios. Always follow the instructions in your airline’s invitation.
Join the 28 November workshop
The group is limited to twelve so every participant can take an interview turn and receive spoken feedback. The session runs when at least ten people have paid by 21 November.
- After payment
- We email your receipt, calendar hold and a note on what to bring.
- When the group is confirmed
- We send the private Microsoft Teams joining link before the workshop.
- If fewer than ten book
- We cancel the session on 21 November and refund all payments in full.
Independent preparation, not an airline qualification or employment guarantee. For training commissioned by an employer, see Aviation Training for Companies.
Questions before you book
Who is this workshop for?
It is for people preparing for a cabin crew assessment, whether you already have an invitation or are still applying. You do not need aviation experience. You do need enough spoken English to take part in a group discussion and answer short interview questions.
What will I actually practise?
You will complete two timed group tasks, practise a passenger conversation in pairs and take one short competency-interview turn. The trainer debriefs each block. These are original practice exercises, not copies of an airline's assessment material.
Will this match my airline's assessment day?
No single format applies to every airline. This workshop focuses on group work, customer communication and competency interviews. It does not prepare you for a specific airline's online test or replace the instructions in your own assessment invitation.
What do I need for the online session?
Bring a laptop or desktop computer that can join a Microsoft Teams meeting, a working camera and microphone, a stable connection and a quiet place to speak. Before the day, think of two short examples from work, education or volunteering that show teamwork or customer care.
What feedback will I receive?
The trainer gives spoken feedback during the group-task debriefs and after your short interview turn. At the end you identify one behaviour to keep and one to practise. There is no airline score, certificate or hiring guarantee.
What if fewer than ten people book?
The minimum is ten paid participants. If that number is not reached by 21 November 2026, AeroSelect cancels the 28 November session and refunds all payments in full. The maximum is twelve participants.
